Alcatel Idol merupakan sebuah smartphone paling ringan. Ponsel ini akan beredar di US pada kuartal ketiga. Ponsel ini juga didesain ramping dengan chasing plastik tipis. Selain ringan dan sangat tipis tetapi tidak setipis Ultra Idol. Alcatel mengklaim ponsel ini tertipis di dunia.

Ponsel ini dibekali layar berukuran 4,7 inci dengan switching LCD panel dengan 540 x 960 piksel dan tampak tajam dan bersih. Kartu microSD dan port kartu SIM berada pada sisi kiri dan kanan, sangat dekat dengan bagian atas ponsel.

Tombol pengunci layar pada bagian atas, seperti jack headphone. Port microUSB berada di bagian bawah. User interface menggunakan Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
