Acer Incorporated berencana mengeluarkan tablet Android seharga sekitar 99 dolar AS (di bawah Rp1 juta) awal tahun depan. Perangkat tablet itu menjadi pesaing pertama tablet-tablet tanpa merek asal China di pasar elektronika negara berkembang.

Tablet yang disebut Iconia B1 itu berlayar tujuh inci itu memiliki resolusi 1024 x 600 piksel dan akan menyerupai Kindle Fire produk Amazon dan tablet Nook Color. Tablet berprosesor dual-core 1,2 GHz itu semula dibanderol 139 dolar AS (sekitar Rp1,3 juta), tetapi Acer akan menawarkannya mulai 99 dolar AS yang ditentukan berdasarkan masing-masing negara pasar.

Design: Tablet design is very similar other Iconia tablets. Side bezel is not that much thin to maintain a high build quality of the tablet.

Display: It is a 7 inch LCD display with IPS technology. The display have 1024 x 768 HD resolution which will produce bright pictures and delivers 169 pixel per inch density.

Processor: This tablet features a 1.2 GHz Dual Core CPU from Mediatek commercially named MT6577. The processor also have a integrated graphics processing unit by PowerVR called PowerVR SGX 531.

Memory: Iconia B1-A71 have 512 MB of RAM. Tablet have 8 GB internal storage if this is not enough for you then you have a Micro SD card slot which can be used to expand its memory to 32 GB.

Operating System: This phone have latest version of android called android 4.2 Jelly bean.

Connectivity: Connectivity can be achieved by Bluetooth, USB and WiFi connectivity. Tablet will lack some premium features like WiFI hotspot and direct WiFi capabilities.
