Huawei meluncurkan produk terbarunya yang mengusung sistem operasi Windows Phone 8. Smartphone itu adalah Huawei Ascend W1 dan smartphone ini dikeluarkan dengan pilihan dua warna yakni biru-hitam dan putih. Untuk yang warna biru yang diusung Huawei memiliki kemiripan dengan Nokia Lumia.

Harga smartphone ini cukup terjangkau untuk kalangan menengah sehingga tampaknya HTC Ascend 1 akan menyasar kelompok entry level untuk pengguna Windows Phone. Huawei Ascend W1 memiliki display WVGA 4.1 inci, prosesor dual core 1.2 Ghz. Huawei membekali smartphonenya dengan kamera 5 MP, baterai 2.000 mAh serta dukungan NFC.
