Asha 306 hadir dengan desain dan spesifikasi yang hampir mirip dengan saudara kembarnya, Asha 305. Hanya saja pada dukungan jaringan, keduanya bakal tampil berbeda. Dimana Asha 305 mampu berjalan pada dual SIM GSM, sementara Asha 306 hanya mampu menjalankan satu kartu SIM saja.

Memiliki ketebalan 12.8 milimeter dan berat 96 gram, Nokia Asha 306 bakal menyuguhkan layar sentuh jenis TFT berukuran 3 inci. Layar resistive ini didukung resolusi 240 x 400 piksel dan mampu menghasilkan warna hingga 56 ribu.

Beranjak ke sektor entertainment, Asha 306 membenami kamera berkekuatan 2 megapiksel. Selain dapat digunakan untuk mengabadikan gambar dengan resolusi 1600x1200 piksel, kamera ini juga dapat dimaksimalkan untuk merekan video dengan kualitas 176x144@10fps. Sebuah kamera yang cukup lumayan untuk ponsel kelas menengah.
