Spesifikasi HP Sony Xperia ion LTE

Sony Mobile akan menghadirkan ponsel pintar yang mendukung jaringan long term evolution (LTE), Xperia ion, di Indonesia, akhir kuartal tiga tahun ini.

Produk ini telah diperkenalkan secara global dalam acara consumer electronics show (CES) International 2012 di AS dan akan hadir di Indonesia dalam versi LTE dan HSPA.

Sony Mobile mengklaim Xperia ion unggul dalam tampilan layar 4,6 inci berdefinisi tinggi 1280 x 720 piksel dengan prosesor dual-core 1,5 giga hertz.

Ponsel berkapasitas penyimpanan internal satu gigabyte dan RAM satu giga byte itu akan menggunakan sistem operasi Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).

Sony Mobile Indonesia belum menyebutkan harga pasaran ponsel pintar yang mempunyai baterai berkapasitas 1900 milliampere-hour (mAh).

Long term evolution adalah jaringan akses data nirlabel dalam kategori generasi keempat (4G) yang akan menggantikan jaringan 3G atau universal mobile telecommunication service (UMTS) dan 3,5G atau high speed packet access (HSPA).

Versi terakhir LTE, LTE-Advanced, diyakini sejumlah ahli teknologi jaringan mampu menyediakan kecepatan akses unduh data hingga satu giga byte per detik dan 500 mega byte per detik untuk data.
